The COWIB stands for the Central Ohio Workforce Investment Board. It currently consists of 28 active board members who are community and business leaders that work together to develop policy and strategies to improve our local workforce system. The board members are all volunteers who have been selected and appointed to the Board by the Mayor of the City of Columbus and the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, in conjunction with recommendations made by the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce.

"We envision creating, nurturing and maintaining a competent, empowered workforce which provides Columbus and Franklin County the unique opportunity to attract and retain new businesses."
